Range of services
CCTV, alarm & access control
We plan video surveillance to comply with the Data Protection Act (FADP) – purpose, signage, retention. That is why the risk assessment comes before the first camera: which areas are at risk, what should the system do, how long will recordings be kept and who may view them?
We then plan the cameras position by position. We set the field of view, focal length and mounting height for each location so that entrances, goods receiving, the underground car park and plant rooms are covered. We power IP cameras via PoE over Cat 6A; recording is handled by a recorder in the plant room.

The alarm system secures doors, windows and rooms with magnetic contacts, motion detectors and glass-break sensors. We wire the detectors, set up the zones and arming, and connect the system to an alarm receiving centre of your choice. Interface points and signalling paths are set out in the system documentation.
Access control replaces the bunch of keys with a badge or code. You assign permissions by person, door and time window, and every access event is logged. We install readers, door controllers, electric locks and cabling – and mark the monitored areas with signs before the system goes live.

Video surveillance under the FADP
- Purpose
- What the system is for – protection against burglary, protection of people, safeguarding of assets. The purpose limits what may be recorded.
- Field of view
- Each camera shows only the area its purpose covers. Neighbouring property, the pavement and workstations stay outside the field of view.
- Signage
- A notice at the approach to every monitored area names the party responsible. We mount the signs and record them in the signage plan.
- Retention
- Recordings are automatically overwritten after a defined period. We configure the period on the recorder and note it in the documentation.
Frequently asked questions
What do I need to bear in mind with video surveillance?
The Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP): a clear purpose, signage for the monitored areas, limited retention and access for authorised persons only. We plan the system accordingly and configure recording and access to match.
