Networks & cabling
Structured cabling means one standard throughout the building, one medium for each link length and every outlet traceable at the patch panel. We plan the topology, install vendor-neutral cabling and hand over the test report and documentation.
We run Cat 6A copper to the workstation and keep each link under 100 metres. Fibre runs between floors and buildings: OM4 within the building, OS2 over long distances and wherever more bandwidth will be added later.

The comms room houses the rack, patch panels and switches. We assign the ports to plan, label outlets and panels to match and keep spare capacity available: double outlets at the workstation, spare ports on the panel, empty conduits in the riser. Access points have their own Cat 6A links and draw power from the switch via PoE.
Vendor-neutral means that we choose passive cabling and active components to suit the link, the load and the expansion path. The documentation is written so that any other specialist contractor could carry on working from it – port assignments, labelling, comms room diagram.

Frequently asked questions
Copper or fibre in an office building?
Both: Cat 6A copper to the workstation, OM4 or OS2 fibre between floors and buildings. Our cabling is vendor-neutral, and we test and document every link.
What is Network Level 4?
The in-building segment of the fibre network: from the building entry point (BEP) to the optical telecommunications outlet (OTO) in each unit. Technik Partner builds this segment across Switzerland – for network operators or directly for property owners and developers.
