Energy management
In residential and commercial properties, generation, storage and consumption need to be interconnected. The PV system, battery storage, charging points and large loads are connected to the same distribution board – without a control system, they work side by side instead of together.
The control system links generation and consumption by priority: solar power flows first to the loads currently running, then into the battery storage, and only after that into the grid. We integrate charging points as a switchable load, so that surplus power goes into the vehicle rather than being fed into the grid.

In commercial settings, the load side comes into play as well. We treat compressors, production equipment and charging points as switchable loads, so that load peaks do not push up the power drawn from the grid unnecessarily. What is switched, and in what order, is set out in the circuit diagram and the parameter settings – not on a remote control.
The metering concept defines the metering points for generation, grid consumption, feed-in and sub-metering. It determines what reporting the owners will later receive for each unit and which meter reports to the distribution system operator. The visualisation shows these values by day, month and year.
In housing developments with a self-consumption group (ZEV), the metering concept forms the basis for billing each unit. On completion, you receive the safety certificate under the NIV, the metering concept and the commissioning report.

Frequently asked questions
Is solar PV with battery storage worthwhile?
Yes, if an energy management system controls generation, storage and loads: solar power flows first to the loads currently running and into storage, then into the grid. We install and connect the systems.
Is the incoming supply sufficient for charging stations in our underground car park?
Usually, yes – with load management that distributes the available power across the charging points. The site survey shows whether the main incoming supply needs to be upgraded.
Can you replace a main distribution board in an occupied building?
Yes, in stages, with interruptions announced in advance for each riser or floor. We provide the tenant notice.
